First things first, when it comes to packing your stuff, think about the types of boxes or containers you’ll use. We recommend using uniform box sizes, two or three different sizes, to make stacking your boxes easier. Also, make sure your boxes are sturdy enough to hold 25-30 lbs.
To help you find your things more easily, label or number all your boxes and containers. If you’re using boxes, label them on all 4 sides for easier identification. And to keep track of all your belongings, create an inventory list that corresponds to each numbered or labeled box. Don’t forget to note on the list where you placed them inside the storage unit and store the list in a safe place.
Now, let’s talk about fragile items. Wrap them in paper, bubble wrap, or even towels, dish cloths, and linens. You can also purchase specialized boxes with a dish packing system for extra protection.
